TradeRunner does not use the optional Shopify SKU field as the main product identifier.
Instead, TradeRunner uses Shopify-generated Product IDs so each product and variant can be identified reliably.

Why TradeRunner uses the Shopify Product ID as the SKU
The Shopify field called SKU is optional. This means it may be blank, duplicated, or entered differently across products.
TradeRunner needs a reliable SKU for Trade Me listings, so by default it uses the Shopify Product ID as the TradeRunner SKU.
This SKU is created automatically and cannot be edited in TradeRunner.
Important when creating Product Groups
When creating Product Groups, use the SKU shown in TradeRunner.
Do not use the optional retailer SKU field from Shopify.
